Cancel Culture is Constant Chaos

Cancel culture is a huge part of the internet and social media but it seems like canceling people is the only way to get yourself out there as an influencer. Whether somebody did something terrible or didn’t do anything at all, influencers are always coming at influencers. Though it is pretty funny to watch all of the scandals go down you have to admit that some of these “fights” are kind of ridiculous. Let’s take a look at some of these scandals, big or small.

Tati Westbrook

Tati Westbrook may have been taken over her breaking point this past year and her scandals caught up to her. In 2019, we all saw what went down between Tati and James Charles. Long story short, Tati went after her long-time friend James Charles and claimed that he had lied about Coachella tickets, tried to “out” a waiter, and embarrassed her entire family in a video titled “Bye Sister”. She uploaded two videos which were both taken down after James posted his “No More Lies” video where he shut her down. James said that everything Tati had said was a lie and he had the receipts to back it up. In June of 2020, Tati uploaded a video titled “Breaking My Silence” claiming that Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson had threatened her to make the “Bye Sister” video in 2019. She claimed that Jeffree was “holding the beauty community hostage” due to the amount of blackmail he says he has and was ready to release. After the video, she hasn’t been on the internet of eight months and no one really knows where she went. As crazy as all this sounds, you have to admit that it’s kind of comical. I mean all of these twenty and thirty-year-olds coming at each other with blackmail and threatening to end each other’s careers seems wrong. Though these scandals are pretty immature we all get roped in one way or another and you can’t stop watching the drama.

James Charles James Charles is known for his scandals and we can’t deny that people have been a little tough on him over the years but if you have been following what is going on with him currently there is certainly no over excessive outrage following him and though I can’t get into what happened, he deserves the hate and backlash. Putting recent events behind us, he has received some unnecessary hate in his career. He got called out for copying Teddy Fresh hoodies when he launched his school collection for his merch. James stated multiple times that he didn’t copy but people still came for him and even though the hoodies do look pretty similar, the color shades are different, the logos are different, and the pockets are different. He has even been called out for following the TikTok trend of taking a mugshot of yourself. People called him out for being insensitive and making fun of criminals.
