Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir or often called Miraculous Ladybug is a very popular show. It is one of the most watched shows on Netflix! It is rated Y-7 and you can watch it on different TV platforms including Netflix, YouTube TV, Disney Now, Hulu, Disney Channel, Sling TV, and FubuTV. You can watch the New York special episode called Miraculous World: New York – United Heroez on Disney+. There are three seasons so far, but the series is not complete.
A lot of you are probably wondering why am I suggesting you watch a Y-7 show? To my own surprise, it is very interesting and quite entertaining.
Miraculous Ladybug takes place in Paris, France. It’s about two teenagers named Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who are the city’s superheroes. Marinette is Ladybug and Adrien is Cat Noir. They are partners and help each other save the city from Hawk Moth, who is the main villain in this series.
Their identities must remain a secret for the sake of them and their beloved city. Not even they know who the other person is under the mask. Cat Noir and Ladybug get their powers from items called Miraculous. Miraculous are items that they wear that grant them magical abilities and powers. Ladybug’s miraculous are earrings and Cat Noir’s is a ring. Magical creatures called kwamis hold the powers and transfer them to the superheroes through the miraculous when they have to save the world or just Paris.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng is in love with Adrien Agreste, who is actually Cat Noir, but she has no idea. Cat Noir is in love with Ladybug, who is actually Marinette Dupain-Cheng, but he has no idea. A lot of viewers say this drives them crazy that they like each other but they have no idea.
Hawk Moth uses his powers to make people evil. I know it sounds very corny! He has these little moth butterflies called akumas which he inserts evil magic. He sends them off into Paris to “akumatize” his next villain, which he will use to get Ladybug and Cat Noir’s miraculous. When someone is feeling negative emotions, that is when Hawk Moth will akumatize them. Hawk Moth is obsessed with getting Ladybug and Cat Noir’s miraculous. It is said that if he acquires their miraculous, he would be granted one wish, anything at all. Of course, for his wish to become reality, something must take its place or some damage will come to the world. That is why it’s up to Ladybug and Cat Noir to make sure he gets defeated and never gets a hold of their miraculous!
There are other characters that are in the show, including Marinette’s best friend Alya Césaire, who runs a blog called the “Ladyblog” dedicated to Ladybug, (She is a big fan) and Adrien’s best friend Nino Lahiffe. There is also Chloé Bourgeois, who is the mayor’s daughter. There are many other characters including siblings and classmates of Adrien and Marinette.
The fourth season is rumored to be coming out this summer. The exact release date is uncertain. The show is made in France, and the french version season four is coming out this month. A movie is even coming out at the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022! According to the web, there is also going to be a season 5 and talk about a season 6. The movie is titled Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Awakening. Not much is known about what’s going to be about, but I hope it’s entertaining or makes the show get even more interesting. There are going to be more special episodes which are named “Miraculous World”, like the New York one. There is one that takes place in Shanghai coming out this May. The trailers for the movie and the new addition to the Miraculous World series are available to watch.
